Is the Insurance farther from current Ecommerce or IoT scenario?
We know how everything has changed which seems to be in a short time but that has been an acute effect of small small changes over vast periods.
I was scrolling through my outlook and found that the impact on insurance is not less. While we focus on apparels and furniture, many companies are making move into the 100 years old insurance industry by ecomming’ the Insurance.
Reliance is no less. The companies sends out much probably lakhs of emails daily to unknown future customers (the details including emails are grabbed or brought by Aditya Birla MyUniverse because they made a huge consumer base in GOSF in the years before ) to opt for their insurance on Car or bike with 60% discount on OD premium.
Not Reliance only, the option of 92p ie. ₹0.92 is mutually provided by ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Royal Sundaram and Shriram General which are sold through IRCTC terminal and the news that they have sold 1 crore policies within first one changes the view of Insurance companies that how mass media can help them to sell more policies and basically calling to earn more.
I opted for it with just a click while booking a ticket ? and the next day I received an email ? with the policy document also telling me to appoint a nominee. I was baffled with the idea that with just a click you can provide insurance for a journey and by looking at it seems much and more successful as the travel insurance is not popular. I’ll explain as soon as I understand their whole functioning, you know, after reading the policy which they have sent and all..
We know Kapil Sharma right? “Photo kheecho and policy bazaar pe upload karo” I don’t know how they work. You need click the picture of RC or may be the two wheeler and the backend process must be very tiring or befuddle but still the process at least look much easier than calling the surveyor.
Telematics: Don’t ask me about them then. What a beautiful thing they are! Premium on the basis of how and how much you ride. The perfect use of today’s technology along with safety net, incentives, application use and more just to calculate how much you should pay accordingly.
We know the future is bright so I cannot conclude, just, because there are many things which are left or which are yet untouched. Those we still don’t know, totally unaware, so I hope to meet you with some new things while on the go with Insurology 🙂
